On Saturday, March 27, 2013, the Men of the Omega Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. volunteered to help Habitat for Humanity build the Swaray Family House in its sixth week of construction. The build was productive despite inclement weather conditions. The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to work in partnership with God and people from all walks of life. Habitat provides the American dream of home-ownership to families who otherwise would have a difficult time meeting the financial requirements. The Omega Gamma Chapter gladly helps others to help themselves through service to the Warner Robins Georgia community. Nine brothers of the Omega Gamma Gamma Chapter, two undergraduate brothers of the Upsilon Sigma Chapter from Fort Valley State University and an array of others assisted in building the new home for the Swaray Family. The day was filled with handiwork, laughter and a sense of pride in serving others. Omega Gamma Gamma once again had a positive impact on the community we live while exhibiting our Cardinal principles as men of Omega. Just as Paul, stated to Titus, “show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity.” - (Titus 2:7)
